Remedial Massage Therapist

More info to come

Why did you choose Remedial Massage Therapist as a career?
I’ve had a keen interest in health and wellbeing generally (especially from a more wholistic viewpoint) for some time, and RMT has been of huge benefit to me in my own life. I love how RMT slots into allied health services so well – and  is a great way to compliment other modalities to help achieve better health and wellbeing. Being a Remedial Massage Therapist, and working alongside other allied health professionals gives me a great opportunity to combine my love of helping others’ with my own interests in health/wellness as well as movement and the human body.

What area of massage do you most enjoy and why?
Helping people improve their quality of life and ability to get the most out of their bodies and general day-to-day performance has to be the best part of the job. I also love supporting people to relax and release some stress while I’m at it! Another area I’ve grown to enjoy immensely was the work with athletes and sporting teams that I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to undertake in my first few years in Industry.

What is your favourite food?
It’s hard to pick just one! I love cooking and creating all kinds of kitchen deliciousness at any given opportunity, so I have plenty of fave foods. If I had to choose just one though, it would be Pineapple. I LOVE Pineapple.

Where is your favourite place in the world?
Anywhere that I can be outside and fully immersed in the magic of Nature.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Books. I have a little obsession with buying (and reading) books.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am not sure people that know me would be surprised (as I talk about it often given half a chance) but I have been doing Tribal Bellydance for almost three years now and its become a huge part of my life – and a great source of fun, connection, joy and creative expression!

What is your favourite drink?
Coffee. Almost always coffee. But another fave of mine at the moment is Jamu – an Indonesian tonic made from Turmeric, Ginger, Black Pepper, Coconut water and Lemon or Lime. It is sooo good for you – and super delicious too! I make a batch each week! I am partial to a sneaky Gin from time to time also!

What is your favourite quote?
“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature”. – Jospeh Campbell
